Depends who you ask...ask any body off the street, and you'll get around $1k-1500...ask someone who owns an AW11, and they'll tell you $2k+

I thought that, but then devalued it a bit in my mind because it's auto. It's just hard work trying to sell an automatic "sporty" car, because it is such a niche market.

Its not a question of IF there is any rust, but how much there is.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

auto doesn't decrease the value of a car, just makes it harder to sell.

ahhhh, that'd be the same thing in many peoples estimation... also, compare Skyline Turbo prices auto vs Manual. It might alter your view a little.

Apparently the aw11 auto is pretty good, but I still wouldn't buy one without the intention of converting.

Jasmine did a 17.2 or something in her auto AW11, then when she got her manual it did a 16.5...so they're not so good for straight line duties...might be ok in the twisties, but I dont think I'd like to try it...would hate to have it kick down leaving a corner :?

Thats more due to it being 'cool' to own a manual skyline.

ahhh, no. That would be because manual Skylines are a bunch quicker than their auto cousins, and because they hold together a lot better

No doubt, but i do believe part of it is to do with the popularity. Look at most other cars, very little to no, price differance between man-auto.

yes but "normal" cars sedans etc are not sports car!

Manual sports cars will always sell for more/ faster than an auto...

Out 0f 10 MR2 buyers,
1 or 2 may accept an auto,
and the others wont even go and look at it.

The ones who may accept the auto will be prepared to pay more for it it it was a manual.

So a manual one is worth more.

IF, it was worth $1500 but it was auto you will have to drop the price to get someone to buy it because it is
