Hi, Im going to buy a cheap 3piece heavy duty racing clutch from my friend. It comes from a damaged 98' curren. Can it be installed on my 94' SS2? Somebody said that it's not good for gearbox, is it ture?

I dont know about dimensions, if the size of it will fit..

but yes, it will be harsher to your gearbox than a standard clutch

personally don't see the point unless you ACTUALLY need one. probably 70% of racing clutches installed in NZ are purely for wank factor.
i don't even bother fitting new std clutches to the rally car, for sure it ain't got 200hp on tap, but second hand ones have never let me down

Depends if its a paddle type clutch or full faced one...a full faced clutch will be fine, though ought to have a heavier pedal feel than standard.
A paddle clutch would be a total waste of time, and will cause quite alot of wear on your driveline.

Are you going to be racing?

The answer to this question is the same as the answer to your "Should I buy a race clutch" question :)

but Leon, streetracers are racers too, they'll be the next group to try and affiliate themselves to MSNZ. so paddle clutches all-round and they'll have a real good time in rush hour traffic
