I believe that sarcasm is what Adamal was going for

Yes. That would be correct.

And All_fours really doesn't know shit about 3S's. Silly billy can't even tell the difference between a 3SGTE and a 4AGZE! Just look at his car now!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I've seen allot of Celicas in NZ that are allot lower than that. Yours looks like a tractor from the photos on that site.

I don't see what the hype is about really...it's not even an RC. And 185s are generally ugly bar 1 or 2 of them.

I doubt that would beat any Skylines...maybe old ones....R30 or 31 maybe? ...if my grandma was driving?

Thats some serious weight reduction right there! 1290... lbs!! Thats... 586kg. No wonder it does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds.

I have always liked these Celicas, nice to drive just hated filling it up and fixing it which happend a lot. If I ever got another one it would be the 205 but by the time I'm looking at my next car they will all have 170-200km on them and just starting to enter the "I've had enough" period where they may as well be holding a gun to your head demanding that you empty your wallet for repairs.

My reasoning for buying a GT4 was that, at the time, there weren't many around - though there seem to be more and more imports around these days.
There are parts out there - you just have to look a bit harder. You can get decent power out of them and while they may not be the quickest on the drag strip, they will certainly out handle a lot of performance cars along the tight twisty stuff with a few tweaks to the chassis. After all, they were designed for rallying rather than for the drag strip.

(IIRC) Celica has the most WRC wins out of any car that has competed. 8)

Whether or not that can be attributed to cheating however, is up for debate.

Also () it pays to note that a brilliant rally car on gravel and mud etc. doesnt necessarily make for a great tarmac car....

The front wheel drive citroen Xsara Kit Car used to beat 4wd WRC cars on the tarmac. 8)
Infact, IIRC, FWD citroen Xsaras won the French and Spanish rally stages one year. 8) (As these stages are predominantly/all tarmac)

I think I might have seen this guy at the autosalon the first year it was held. Telling everyone all this sh*t about his car, so I went to have a look and it was practically stock. He told everyone else it did a 11.4 but when I asked he said it was a 12.4. My guess would have been 15.4 .

Some did. Not many. You also need to take into account that the F2 cars ran to a totally different rule book than the GrpA 4WD cars.

Not true. The F2 cars cars were lighter, had more engine freedoms which allowed the same theoretical 300hp the 4WD turbo cars had and, most significantly, were allowed wider tyres.
IIRC whilst Delecour & Panizzi gave the 4WD a fright and won a few stages only Bulgaski in the Citroen actually won an event (2 in fact).
remember that this was only on seal and the cars were French spec national championship cars which were allowed to be even lighter again than the WRC F2 cars.
And their drivers were tarmac specialists with extensive local knowledge.

Possibly not a level playing field.

Is it stripped?
My 165 is stripped bar front seats/dash and doors, I also removed AC, and sound insulating material, and it really interesting to know how much it weights...
