Probably get a new ecu.
There's always going to be a sacrifice, the 4age is a highish revving engine and all the ones that make decent power (that aren't turbo) rev even higher and have even less down low.

Just get a six speed box :D

That will give you more of the low down goodness you require!

Danny, cams wont benefit both low end and top end, you'll have to sacrifice one slightly for the other.
If you want more overall power, you're better off getting some ZE pistons and turboing it.

If you get the right duration and lift combo you can give it a broader power band. The previous owner of my Levin told me he had done the cams, when we had them out while doing a rebuild last month we couldn't find any marking/brand name or size on them, but what I can tell you is compaired to a standard black top & silver top it has way more pull from down low & it has even more after installing an Apexi SAFCII as it was running very lean at low revs. It still makes max power at 7600rpm so I didn't loose any top end & gained a lot down low. Just like a VTEC only better, as its not a Honda

yeah thats a good point ........ most vtecs only have one cam shaft ....... f***in hondas , yeah i will look into it aye, at the moment its only a sleeper , outside is stock , inside .... not so stock, i was thinking that ze pistons only have space for the 4 valves ..... would i be cancelling 1 valve out?

dont bother changing these if the current ones are good..... coils leads an plugs only make power if the current ones are failing.....

If you're going to change your plugs NGK Iridiums work really well in 20v's The part number for them is BKR6EIX11. I have a set in mine. I also have 7mm Ultra leads & a MSD coil.

According to the guys the ZE pistons will work in a 20v
Here are some pick of aftermarket forgies for both. You can clearly see the 5 valves. for more info visit http://www.aclperformance.com.au/Toyota ... istons.htm
