GL's had double headlights and DX's had the single? my brothers old ke70 had twin headlights and it was a GL

GL have different doors and bumpers, tail lights could also be different. GL usually had a rev counter, and were often A powered, whereas DX was K powered.

DX translated to a Trim Level, thats all, as far as i'm aware.

I've never understood the 'DX' love affair.
Hell I know a guy who had a Hiace DX...

Nah, pretty sure they're all the same. As someone has stated, DX just refers to the trim level, and its the base model.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
