I went past the guys house just before, car was up the driveway and seemed fine, he could just be making stuff up to keep the plates as Brad suspects...

Simply check with the police if its on their system as stolen. If its not then report the plates stolen.

Yeah, as said the car is now back in his posession. Im rather dubious as to whether it was actually stolen or not.
His first txt actually said it was last seen on the ferry headed north which made me pretty suspicious anyway (hard to organise a ferry ticket with 4 days notice).
Then when I sent him a txt saying it had been seen in The Palms, his reply was that the car was at the police station. Just a little too coincidental for my liking.
Hell, it may very well have been, who knows - but he still has my plates, though he reckoned one was stolen along with the boost gauge etc etc.
I said he could change the plates and send the remaining one up to me, and have heard no reply.
If anyone sees it in town, and it has the front plate on, please let me know ASAP, and I'll be reporting it stolen.

Couple of people went past, but the car is parked up the driveway, front facing in. So could only see the rear plate.
