Water spots on windows

Postby cynakyl » Tue Feb 28, 2006 4:54 pm

Hey all,
On my GT-T on all the windows i have what looks like water spots. Now i have tried scrubbing with a scourer pad, cleaning them, meths and 30sec calcium lime rust remover and none of them have worked. Anyone have any other ideas or have had the same prob and how you got rid of them. Makes the windows look ghey cuase with the tints you can see them easy as.

Never had any trouble with mine. Perhaps it's spent time with acidic rain on the windows and become permanently etched.

Cut & polish works wonders, or meths and newspaper.

Ensured with a free window once a year? Accidentally crack it.

tried meths and newspaper, no joy. My bro has some meguiars headlight polisher stuff so i might give that a go and see if i have any luck. Yeah definately on the outside. Im thinking it could be all that acid rain they have in japan 8O... oh well iguess i'll keep trying. I thinking i might call my old boss who now runs a smith&smith branch and see what they use to clean windows properly...

Try this;

C-Thru Water Spot Remover.

You can buy it in hardware shops or from the factory in Tauranga.

www.c-thru.co.nz

It's not cheap but it works.

problem solved. My old boss is now the regional manager for smith and smith glass in auck's. so he jacked me up with some farkin expensive stuff that they use (except i got it for free :lol: ). I think it is a type of glass polish. So with that and a shit load of elbow grease i managed to get 1 window clean in half an hour. So could be a good 3 or 4 hour job depending on how bloody sore my arms are afterwards. But it works and makes it look sooooo much better. Thanks for all the suggestions tho.

while your cleaning alternate arms so you don't end up with one real strong arm and one real small arm.

It happened to me when I was waxing cars for some fundraising event. :oops:
