That 'on the esplanade' idea is great. Could go chase penguins and seals etc. Girls never forget that sort of thing.

I was at otago when gladiator came out, and that night I took this american girl out there and made her think it was safe to pat this old sea lion on the head because if he's on the beach he must be friendly.

Got her to get really close and then he barked and snapped at her, she set a new unnoficial record for the 100m sprint that night.

This girl was rich (her dad was the marketing manager of AOL when it was in it's prime) and she said (admittedly just before she got married to another guy) that that night was the most memorably impressive date she ever went on.

Moral of the story, money won't convert/impress. Make em laugh and 'feel' and you'll be laughing and feeling all night.

Or if you've really got balls, get her to make/pack your guys dinner, because you've got everything else sorted and she's just mooching off you otherwise.

just take them for good ol fish n chips, then to the beach if its nice and make sand angels
