Decided to buy a Projector as a TV with the order of a XBOX 360 due in less than a weeks time.

And what i want to know is whats the best way to get TV signal into an RCA / SVID input.

I have a TV Cap card in my pc how ever means wires everywhere, there might be a simpler version out there.

Anyone know anything that can help me? ( other than using Sky Digital )

heres some pics, Highly reccomend. ( not the best light / camera conditions but non the less Fantastic pictures )

You could plug a VCR in and use that to pick up the tv signal.

Try getting a sony TV tuner, an attachment for the in car screens. I'm not sure if these units have RCA output however, might have some proprietary connections however. Could be worth a look?

You just want to show off that you got a projector. :P

I think I get what you mean but am not too sure.

We have a similar setup at home and we have a svideo cable from pc tv card to projector. Its quite an expensive cable sometimes but its good because its just the one cable and its good quality.

On second reading I'm still not sure if thats what you are after but its the only way I know of and we hide the cable under the carpet so theres no wires on the ground.

I also know of a thing similar to the pc tv card.

found here:

sorry, its the only website I know with them on and I can't be bothered searching but at least its in NZ.

edit: oh and you don't need a pc for these I believe.

A cheap VCR is going to be far and away the best way to do it. Look for a 2nd hand 6 head VCR on Trademe, one with f*cked heads is fine as you only want to use it for the tuner :)
