Aged? Well, maybe. Still love the look of them however. Most bodykits on them ruin the look completely however

I see a lot of AE101 GTZ's on my travels to and from work.
My mate has recently bought a AE92 GTZ with a buggered supercharger.
Payed $1000 for it. He gonna use the motor for a turbo conversion.

gtz are rear
honestly have a look around you very really see them driving around unless your in a big city were theres more of a chance of seiing one

in hamilton i know of at least 5 ae101 gtzs two of them are face lift models " one being mine "

ae101 gtzs are the sexyest tho the curves are just magical plus that wonderful power bulge of a bonnet

im not a big fan of ae111s to boxy for my liking

Well i have one and a half ae101 gtz's in my garage (allthough my gtz was originally a gt-apex 20v) :D The ae101 is the nicest shape to me, nice and curvy and it all flows, but i do agree they need an after market front bumper to set them off 8)

I wouldnt say Rare but uncommon is definately the consensus.
Even here in Dunedin where ae111 and ae101 GT Apex are a dime a dozen.
I swear somedays there are alot more Altezzas around too....

I recently purchased a GTZ because it was something just a little bit different, and there just arent many GTZ around. Also all the torque up Dunedin hills is damn useful. I love it!

I have seen a few GTZ fakes, 20v with a bonnet.... its just not the same..

What I dont understand is why do Levin GTZ's cost more than Trueno ones? is there something I dont know?

Now thats just a blue face lie!! :D

Levins are just damn common....j/k

I guess in regards to a GTZ AE111 that simplifying a product line and simply investing money in the 'better' blacktop. Maybe GTZ's werent big sellers when compard to GT Apex models. (they certainly arent as common)

Dont forget Car makers are companies!, profit and return on investment are important factors here. Maybe superchargers just werent making as much return for Toyota as silvertop.

AE111's seem to be very popular with 6 speed models, light weight and LSD varients. Plus they look good too IMHO.

Get him to save up a bit more, I just got a TD05 for mine at a decent price... just buying bits as I can afford then for the conversion over a day or so when I have it all sorted. That said the supercharger off mine will be available in the not too distant future. Sorry kinda off topic.

It seems to me that most japanese manufacturers are steering away from forced induction in their mainstream models with the exception of Subaru. I spose its all a cost thing in the end, and most of the GT-Z Levins I knew of when I was younger were written off fairly rapidly.
