Hmm might be there, might not as well, will have to see closer to the time. This sort of event doesn't really suit the datsun - not enough speed up and my other car is a work van. Don't think anyone needs to see that on it's side out there because thats about all it would do

A-frame's done and works. Put 5 litres of the best lawnmower gas in the Corolla. Charged up the battery. Straightened out the bonnet where the boy jumped off the tree onto it. Hotwired the ignition so turning the steering wheel doesn't kill the engine. Just need to pump up the tyres to make them round.

Looking forward to the motorkhana.

Directions to Levin venue, for those who haven't come out for a play.

Heading North on SH1.
Turn left at second set of lights (if you pass McDonalds on SH1 you've gone too far). You will actually see a little Donnelly Park sign at that crossroads if you're quick.

Keep going down that road, through the roundabout.

The road will narrow like a bastard. As it does so, there is another left turn, again with a Donnelly Park sign. Hang a left there.

You will see netball courts etc on your right. Pass the netball courts, and hang a right into the wee road that goes between the courts and I think a hockey club. We're in the paddock at the end of that road.

It's a fairly road car friendly venue, but is not billiard table smooth, so there will be bouncing.

Hey, I was as surprised as anyone, considering I was driving a car with an open diff and road tires ... 2nd and 3rd were running grippy retreads, 4th was road tires, 5th 4wd, 6th retreads, 7th 4wd.

I'm normally quite competitive in Motorkhana's, but was definitely not expecting a win with the tires I was running.

Thats like saying that gravel tires on a gravel road are only better than road tires on a gravel road if it's a wet day - retard :P
