Car jumps while parked

Postby Zyros » Fri May 05, 2006 6:28 pm

Okay, has mentioned in like 9 of my threads tying to fix this..

My car's engine cuts in and out, it progressed from doing it like every 10 seconds (feels like a missfire, engine cuts in and out for like .1 second)

To when only warm, to when i turn it on.. the rev gauage goes crazy and the rev's of the car just go up and down...

What could be causing this..
Ive done the entire distributor, ecu, loom, spark plugs, battery, some of the loom, Leads, Coil, Filters..

This is a bit of a stab in the dark, but since you're getting desperate for suggestions, have you tried the TPS? Although it shouldn't make the engine cut out completely, it will make the revs fluctuate if faulty/set incorrectly.

I tried that, didnt work.

No, i havent tried the TPS, but i didnt think that would give error 13. Might try it, how do i test it.. just unplug it? If so, i think i done that with you mat? (deaf_rattle) it still ran the same.. aka crap.

fix the error 13 first, perhaps.

Heres a hint, its an internet forum, its kinda hard to diagnose without seeing the car...

The TPS has nothing to do with the RPM signal.

I dont konw if this applys to you but when my fx was doing a similar thing it was the throttle body all clogged up with rust and shit and some of the coolant input output things on the throttle body had rusted off. so if your getting desperate just take the TB of and check it and give the whole thing a good clean.
