Damn AE101 headlights keep condensating....

Postby DB4G63 » Sat May 06, 2006 4:59 pm

Hi All

My AE101's headlights have been giving me no end of grief lately.
Since I have purchased the car four month ago I have purchased 3 second hand lights but had no luck with them either.

My left hand light has begun condensating REALLY bad whereas before that I had no troubles ( the right was giving me alot of greif however )

At the moment I just feel like I wasting money replacing the lights with wreckers offerings..

Does anyone have any idea of some good solutions? I am considering buying some new ones ( yes I know $$$!!) just to fix the problem for good.

Thanks! :D

drill some very small holes on the under side of the headlite, worked on my AE101 Trueno, will still get some moisture, but it will dry out.

on sunny dry day take the back caps completly out, run with the head lights on, by the end of the day it will dry up completely, double check if you still have rubber breather on, other wise it will get water next time you will go over a puddle...
