my steering wheel rattles abit when im driving straight

Postby agressor » Sat May 06, 2006 9:32 pm

bumps around bit but on straight tarmac roads, i dont think it always rattles but does quite a bit, also the steering alignment is out when i let go of wheel the car moves to the left abit, the handling has been getting weird aswell i think it might just be placebo effects but it feels like its handling worse, could this be that the front left tire is abit flat (not heaps) but more flat than the others or maybe my feels are about to fall off?

Tyre Pressures need to be even, too. They'll cause drift...

Could be an unbalanced tyre or an out of round wheel.
Maybe swap one front tyre to the rear if it feels the same swap the other one. This will help you to work out what wheel is the problem.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Had the same prob just a few weeks back , i got a wheel balancing done . it sort of fixed the problem but it ended up i had to replace the front tires as they had woren up evenly and then got an aligment. So any of thoes 3 could be the cause.
