Levels Trackday photos (56k run away!)

There were more pics but they unfortunately didn't turn out as good. Didn't get pics of all cars either sorry.



Both taken of the sunrise at Waitati, a few minutes north of Dunedin.


Taken close to Shag Point near Moeraki.


Fog + trees + sun = good photo.



Near the turnoff to Waimate. Tried, but failed, to replicate the default Windows XP Home desktop picture.


The vast majority of Timaru was this bad when we arrived, even worse before we got to the town - could barely see two car lengths in front of us.

All of the above photos are available in 1024x768 resolution, the below shots that were taken of cars from the same spot are only available in the size you see them, apart from the Lotus 7 (or whatever it is) shot.

This guy was awesome fun to watch, kept getting the car sideways everywhere.






I think this was turboed.

I think this was the only run this car did - shortly after this photo, just before the finish line, something went bang followed by a puff of brownish/blackish/greyish smoke from the exhaust.




S15 Silvia Spec R, pulled off the best drifting action of the day.

Something. This was the only 'motion' shot that actually turned out. Available in 1024x768 size if anyone wants it.








BA XR6T'ed(?) Focus - probably the fastest car there and an awesome sounding one at that.






Don't know what engine it was, but it sounded V8'ty and not stock.


Looks faster than it is.

Two beasts.





First time i've seen a Ferrari F355 (Berlinetta at that). The owner was REALLY friendly and said he's had it up to 260 km/h so far. On the track of course. Also isn't 'stuck up' like he said some members of a certain Ferrari club are. He had also met Enzo Ferrari in person before too.



'Indian lap' (or whatever it is called) for the full old circuit sprint. Second track of the day (i went around the 'go kart' track with chch34).


Look in the dictionary under 'Awesome' and you'll see this car.



The engine is in there. Somewhere.




This is what happens when you move the camera after you think it has taken the photo. It was supposed to be of the GTS-4 getting sideways.

Unfortunately i don't have too many big pictures (need a better camera) but i do have big (1024x768) versions of the following which have Starlets in them.


Think i must have forgotten to save this after i resized it to 450px, so it is still the original size.

Reason i didn't get pics of all cars is because i kinda lost track of what cars i had pics of and what ones i didn't. Had plenty of room on the memory card for morethough.

it was THE most unreliable K-powered car ever in the hands of Ross Anderson, usually blew up during qualifying or the first few laps!!

the guy who know owns it , gets built engines and hasn't had a DNF yet...touch wood.

the Canty car club ones are on every month, that one next month is a day/night one
usually we run 4 courses and have 2 goes at each, proper circuit tracks not like the car park etc bits they sometimes use at Levels
up to 10 cars on the track at once, let off in pairs. so usually the car you're paired with is the only one u go near

Hhhmmmm sounds like itl be worth looking into... but maybe i need more practice before i get on the track with others
