Toyota GT-T Grille INFO

Postby WanaGo » Wed Jul 05, 2006 11:19 pm

Hey,

I have been trying to find information about those open style grilles that some of the GT-T's seem to have, and alot of us unlucky bastards want.

I want to share the information I have found.

There is one on trademe, which I know alot of people know about already. I managed to get the part number out of the guy.
Its 08423-21050.
I however asked Toyota to find a price, and he cant seem to find anything on that part number. He has checked NZ and Japan and TRD...
In the mean time, I asked Toyota Palmerston North for help too, as I use to live in Palmerston North. They came back saying they have found a grill, but they dont have a picture, so they dont know if its the one Im after. That part number was 08423-21040.

I did a google search for them both, and only managed to find a cached japaneese yahoo auction selling a 08423-21040, which didnt look to be the correct one.

If anyone has one of these grilles, can you please have a look at the back of it and see if it has a part number on it.

I have included pics of what I have found.

This is the one from trademe.

These are the ones I found on the Japaneese auction.

Thanks in advance

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market. It applies to any car that was produced for the Japanese and we have imported, Toyota or not

Got a price from Toyota Invercargill - since I was there from my car being in getting fixed :S

"08423-21040-A0" - $300 inc gst, ex Japan, 10 - 15 days backorder.

A0 stands for pure white or something like that, some sort of white anyway. so I am guessing you can get it in the other standard GTT colours too.

No idea how that compares to Mr Revhead. Hope he can get it cheaper!!

Cheers

That grille on the hello kitty blanket a the post-facelift ST215w grille:

The silver grille is a factory pre-facelift grille

Here are some aftermarket grilles / bumpers

I also have accumulated a collection of images of other kits of various types - some wierd, others just awful. I can email these to anyone who wants.

they are not toyota items (except the TRD item)- so no Warwick probably cant. I can though via our buyer in Japan. VERY expensive though to ship over single item - but we can do it.

So what model is my GTT exactly? Facelift etc....? I have no idea.

Its a 1998 GTT with naked nose (no nudge), and single rear spoiler. Has the standard front grill with the GT in the front.
