New name, slightly different purpose!

With not as much emphasis on getting a racetrack here anymore i've decided to just try and provide information about racing events happening in Dunedin/Otago and at Levels Raceway and Teretonga Park.
Ruapuna would be included if it was close enough to be driven to, raced at, and driven back from in one day at the legal speed limit, but it just seems too far away to go up there to compete for the day without staying overnight or anything. So therefore is excluded. :)

If anyone can keep me up to date (PM, E-mail) with the latest motorsport events in Otago or at Levels and Teretonga then please do as i don't have too much time to go browsing all over the place to find out about all the the events that are on. These could include grasskhanas, track days, drag racing and more.

I'd vote Yes, but i don't see where the option to vote is?

There's no poll or anything, but i'm going to create a page where i can put all the 'yes, we need a track' replies/e-mails etc on. Haven't done any work to the site since i uploaded it, but will try get the feedback form and a few pages made today. :)

I'm sure i can whip up a poll+comments shoutbox in PHP when i get home from work. :)

And if your host doesn't allow scripts, i'll be happy to host it on my server.

This is all i'm allowed to do on my current hosting: http://www.netfirms.com/web-hosting-free

And i'd be more than happy with any help i get for the site! :D Do shout boxes etc have a log or anything so you can keep track of the comments when/if they disappear from public view?

Updated with all the pages its likely to have (until i think of more) and a (hopefully working) feedback submission form. I say hopefully, because i made it myself. But it works on one of my other sites so... :?

On pages without content i tried adding a bit of my humour, so you may or may not want to see each one. :p

Just got home.

I'll tell you what, i can whip something sexy up in xhtml and attempt coding the PHP (just starting to learn it) - and chuck it on my server.

The domain is infused.net.nz (experimental stuff on it at the moment, it used to be quite a large community in its day), so you're looking at anything yourname.infused.net.nz. Also, there are no limitations on that hosting whatsoever. No B/W, Disk space quota and database limit. So a pretty good deal all-in-all. :)

Feel free to add me to MSN - misha[at]infused[dot]net[dot]nz.

Not a bad idea fella but can't see us getting a Track any time soon or in the near future. You know the cost's involved in getting a track built and up and running? Would cost Million's and the fact that Land would also be an issue. Would be good to have a track here as Timaru and Invercargill have them :?

Thats probably part of the reason we dont have one here Muzz. In the grand scheme of things, Invers and Timaru aren't really that far away. Would be nice to have one here all the same

Anyone want to take over the site? I've kinda lost interest in it already (making/updating websites, not the site/idea itself - haven't even updated any of my sites since the start of the year just about :().
And either no-one has e-mailed anything to me or the feedback form i made doesn't work (probaby both though, as i can't remember how i made the form work on my other site in the first place).

That design you made for me is pretty cool though misha. :)

Well, i haven't updated any of my other sites since pretty much the start of the year so had forgotten a little about how tediuos etc it was.

Will keep updating it but it'll probably be like my other sites and not get updated that often.

We don't need a race track!
We could just join timaru and chch sports car clubs and get in on their track days!
Or join Otagos club and do rallies and the street race!
I prefer tarmac so im gonna try and join in some of the fun at Teretonga, Levels and Ruapuna. As long as dunedin has the street race we will never have a track!
Wouldn't the A1GP been awesome in dunedin on our street course instead of Taupo!
