4k Turbo Setup

Postby 1598cc » Wed Jul 26, 2006 12:18 am

wanting to do a blow through setup on a 4k using a ct9 shitter.

must i change the jetting or what do i do for fueling. or can i use some sort of rising rate reg??

also for timing because its a vacuum advance, when it senses boost will it retard.

planning on running 6psi on stock compression.. i gotta wideband so can check the fueling 2.

theres two options on fueling one is a malpassi rising rate made for carbie (base pressure adj between 3-15psi) or run a constant high pressure eg 12psi (5psi base and 7psi boost) but the needle valve and seat wont hold that in a factory carb you'll have to use a webber or similiar.
i use a malpassi.

you will need to put bigger jets in to make it stay alive. some ppl use the secondary in the main then drill the main out and put it in the secondary.

the dissy wont retard under boost singal so you have to adapt something off another car or just leave it.. lots of ppl lock the spring advance aswell.
