A car being pursued by Taupo police continued on after driving over two sets of road spikes before finally being stopped in Rotorua last night.

Nup.

White ford xr6 sedan.

20 year old army boy. Drunk.

Clocked at 108 going up ruahine street, gave chase, he lost it going into tremaine ave from ruahine (spun a couple of times) then foot flat the whole way to rangitiki street, took a left down rangatiki towards town and lost it again on that corner (outside the mobil, go have a look at the marks). Fishtailed like $&#$% as he tried to acclerate, thats when cop cuaght up to him and read plate, then got boxed in at the featherston/rangitki intersection (outside mcd's). His car will still be there until today at 1pm (when the keys will be released).

Chase started at 11.45pm last night.
