Parrotts in Chch should be able to make something for you, look them up in the yellow pages under gauges/instrumentation

I would prefer not to re-invent the wheel if I can avoid it. I thought buying a Corolla would mean aftermarket parts for Africa! Its a real mission for the AE101.

I remember thinking the same thing when I bought my GTZ four or so years ago  Its a Toyota, parts (aftermarket and replacement) would be easily found. How wrong I was

Parrotts would be able to do something for around 200. You aint gonna find something aftermarket, unless you want TRD which arent white anyway

PM FST4RD, I think he got something similar done in his Laser a few years back

I am looking at a Supra for my daily driver / show / dyno queen, at least parts for those are everywhere.

I like seeing white dials, easier for me to read. $200 sounds pricey but what the hell can you do, I dont want MPH.

Didn't someone know a guy in england who did them, ie a custom job.
I think it was for a gt4, but im sure they'd be able to make a set for a ae101.

I agree that parts are a bitch to find for the ae101, especially aftermarke things.
& the usual toyota dealers charge an arm & a leg for replacement parts, & i havent yet seen a catalouge of what TRD do for the ae101, though i maybe blind & havent looked hard enough
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983

Sweet. Save us both time.

The one where I can go around the corner to Parrots instead of the UK was pretty decent.

TRD do a lot of parts for the AE101, just a few bits missing like rear sway bars and camber plates etc. But there are some others out there...

So do it then. I was merely answering your question and trying to help. And now before this gets out of hand. Have you checked to see if any other toyota dashes will fit? Cos i know for a fact i can fit about 4-5 different ones into my car and my mates old toy

*Edit* and if your only doing it to make it easier to see, try getting a different coloured backlight?
