Its probably only worth 2grand.

I got my ae92 for 1 grand but it was standard.

KM's are too high to be worth anything.

You could rip off someone who didnt know any better and maybe get 3 grand.

kms dont really matter on a 20 yo car tho.
trying to work out how much its worth for insurance purposes.

i would like to see someone get an ae92 fxgt manual, with these sorts of bits on it for $2k tho.

I wouldnt pay more than a grand for a standard one. Not being mean just saying the truth. I wouldnt buy yours but I would say a fair price is 2 grand.

Hell bluemamau got a 4agze ae92 levin gtz for just over a grand. Was probably similar condition to yours.

Oh and btw my mate at uni got this car

not saying its worth $4.5k but your mate got a good deal, would be worth buying at that price just to sell it to some other joker for $6k.

i put the value as $3.5k for insurance.
the speakers alone are worth $1k

Well then take all of the sounds out and sell it for cheaper and you'll probably find a buyer faster.

Then you can sell the sounds and make money back. You won't make as much if you sell the whole thing as a package as what you would selling the car and sounds separately.

Value of a car does not go up because of the price of the speakers mounted in the doors.

Dude.. what the heck? The title clearly asks for peoples' opinions on how much they believe this to be worth, 4 people have told you its' worth $2000 or less, only one reckons its' worth more.. how is that not a decent independant valuation from other Toyota owners?

In the eyes of an insurance company, its' an almost 20 year old Corolla with quite high kms, I would'nt be surprised if you stacked it, they valued it, and gave you $1000. I've seen it happen many, many times before. Besides, if you did insure it for far more than it was actually worth, have it assessed and found to be a piece, you get blacklisted from that insurance company. I've seen that happen too!

My HONEST opinion? You may find that one person in 10 who would be stupid enough to pay anything over $2000 for it, but after my recent wade through the car market looking at these sorts of cars, with those kind of km's, $3500 is dreaming. Thats' my opinion of its worth, as per the thread title, and if you don't like it, I don't really care, its' what you asked for.

the insurance complany clearly asked what i thought it was worth.
I paid $1850 for the car alone a year ago. at the time this was very cheap for a manual ae92 fxgt. let alone the tyres, the engine conversion and the stereo i have put in afterwards.

I am well aware there are "bargains" out there. but im sure you are the sort of person that thinks you can put a 4agze into something and its magically worth $10k.

i would be doin very well if i could replace the car for $3.5k.

And i hardly think ill get blacklisted, for answering a question honestly.

and ks? $&#$% its a 20year old car. i think lower ks would be more a bad point than a selling point.
if it was a 5-10year old car, ks would be an issue.

And ive spoken to the insurance company about the engine, and the wof people, who both told me the engine swap was fine. so im not going to spend $300 getting it certed.

and if i dont like it you dont care? haha good one.
I think you should check the market again.

Also i think you would find i would get $3.5k for it. For a car that has decent performance but still returns awesome fuel economy...

Matt I'm not looking at stirring or anything here but I'd have to agree with RS13 above...

You asked for people's opinions above and now you tell them off or call them brainless when their opinions doesn't fall in line with yours...

Why ask for an opinion in the first place then?

WTF I always consider KM's when buying a car, You need to wake up and stop being so bias. Your probably telling yourself that so you can convince yourself its worth more dollars. Anyone who doesnt consider KM when buying a car is a fool.

LOL at someone with brains. You two must be reaaalllyyy smart then because I cant for the life of me figure out how its worth 3.5grand

You got ripped off for $1850, especially if you needed to replace the engine (last I heard it was using shit loads of oil). Most cars look much better in photos and considering that photo doesnt look too good...
