Link and appropriate ignitor

hey guys,
after an ignitor for my 4agte with link ecu. I hear evo, wrx legacy or vr4 are ok. are there specific ones i should look out for? which one runs best? also any one have pinouts or links to pinouts for these?

What version of Link?
Are you going wasted spark?

nah running dizzy and lem v5.

ive got the stuff for wasted spark (except cas), but im pretty sure my link can only use dizzy. is there much diff?

if youre only going to run the distributor then you can just grab a nissan sr20de ignitor- common a freckles on a ginger.

I think you'll find the ones you have quoted will most often be dual channel ignitors. You're best off with the Nissan as EZY10S stated.

with sounding like an idiot, just went to the wreckers this morning and the guy there said only the turbo models had them? :?

Im sure the na had them too, and I know the wreckers is a good one.


Will any others, like ca18de, work?

The CA18E single cam 8 spark plug models have two of them.

CA18DET is not what you are after. SR20, turbo or non both have them,
Heaps of things.

It must have 3 wires. no less and no more.

they are not compatable with the link output signal.

You can get them to work but you only get weak spark
as you only 1/2 triiger the igniter which only 1/2 triggers the coil.

Why not just buy an igniter off Link? They sell them...
