Well as we all know oil on the driveway....

how do we get it off is there somekind of magic solution? its a cobblestone driveway i have a waterblaster but on cobblestones that isnt good...

I use either Cold water surf, sprinkle it over, leave it there for a few hours then hose it away.

else theres this other stuff which is wicked, but cant remember the name of it, will find out, its wicked.

the roadworkers use simple green type stuff for oil spills i believe. anything with a degreasing agent in it or detergent properties works.
i used everything i had , washing powder/carwash/mr muscle and scrubbed it hard and it worked.

of course the earlier you get to it the better.

Hot air gun, one of the 2000w hand held ones. Much like a powerful hair dryer and just evaporate it off. A little time consuming but good for old stains or whats left over after cleaning.

Petrol and a wire bush is good too. If its a bit cold stand back and throw a match so no need to hose/sweep it :wink:

Repco sells a degreaser in an aerosol can. I forget what its called, but iirc, its in a red and black can. I used some on the driveway of my old place before moving out, and it came up almost as good as new. It was really cheap too ...

If its old, you're gonna need a solvent as it'll have soaked into the concrete.

nah just paint over it with grey paint or put a bit of that quick dry luiquid cement shit over to hide it :wink:

if you're leaving a rented house you only need it to pass an inspection so u can get ya bond back :lol:

might be a bit late but crc brakeleen and a clean cotten rag is the magic solution.
Used it all the time in the workshop. Great for grease in material too.
