almost..... but not quite... CT12B is the name for the 1KZ-TE turbo's.
more power mmmm
Exhaust, Yes
Air filter, Yes
Intercooler, Yes
More boost, mmm only if you can up the fueling alittle & should be done on a dyno, & a eye is kept on the EGT.

if it has an electronic controller on the pump, you will have to talk to your local diesel specialist.

Larger exhaust and intercooler were ideas floating around in my head, wanna keep it looking stealthy though.

Time for a boost guage me thinks.......

These engines are kickass dude.

Get a cooler on that sucker, they really need it especially if you are thinking of bit more boost. Will add to reliability. They have a tendency to get a fair bit of heat through them and crack heads even on factory boost levels without cooler.
Filter/exhaust will help of course too.
Ive seen these engines with T88s, massive coolers & boost, 4-500hp/mountains of torque on near stock bottomends last time I was in Thailand!!! Usually in utes with 11sec timeslips to back up the figures!

They are like the 1/2JZ of diesels!

oh yes cooling....

i should have mentioned that.
they do crack heads if theres even a HINT of a dodgy cooling system
so if you are gunna up the power, as mentioned fit an intercooler and look at a bigger rad and cooler thermostat

and mont the coolant overflow bottle higher than highest point on the head. This way it will help in getting rid of air pockects in the head, which lead to cracks.

It seems to run slightly cold anyways (guage dioesn't reach halfway, but the bar below it). But I have wondered about a cooler thermostat. I dont think theres the room for a bigger radiator - damn things mounted parallel to the road and there sweet F-A room left around it. Intercooler on the list.
