sorry put you wrong about having to get the hub & bearing as one
you can get these seperately, the bearing is a pressed fit. Majority of the time if your front wheel bearing needs replacement i.e. play you will find it has spun on the inside of the hub & just putting a new bearing in there wont fix it as you will still have some play, hence why we got both bearing & hub as new.
from memory once the retaining nut was removed the hub just pulled off, either that or a gentle tap with a soft faced hammer from behind
