but...........it's just a boring white 2-door coupe??? or is the link broken and there was a unique car there previously, that was deserved of this thread??

i was expecting a car that could ACTUALLY be voted on, like a TE71 /AE86 etc.

once you define what the 'JDM' look is then you 'might' get an accurate response

coz i bet my definition of the 'JDM' look isnt the same as yours

Ok, you see the reason i asked if my car looked JDM was i was looking around jtuned.com and saw EG civics on rims etc and was confused as to what the JDM look actually was, as jtuned told me this car looked JDM. Ill post a pic up later as im at work. It made me think "hey, does that mean my car looks JDM?" so i asked the toyspeed populance if it was, only to get flamed!

No hard feelings tho, its obvious everyone is tired of people posting shit, and i can see how this thread would have come across this way. :P

Ok, this is why i asked if my car was JDM. I saw this article on Jtuned.com with lines such as these

"these hatchbacks are still being snatched from their previous owners with dreams of becoming the ultimate JDM beast."

"Adam Nelson has been triumphant in completing such projects."

"Adam had his eyes set on something strictly JDM"

followed by pictures such as these.

Can everyone see why i asked now?
Is it my rims that dont make my car JDM?

I dont consider your rims to be "JDM". A JDM rim is smaller and lighter giving less unsprung weight and allowing a tyre with a bit more tirewall.

He has a cage to stiffen the car and "protect him from a rollover".

He has that funky rear brace in the hatch.

He seems to have aftermarket lightwight/adjustable suspension bits if u look under the car too...

He doesnt have window tints as the whole JDM ideology seems to be that tints dont make the car go faster yet cost money and add a tiny bit of unnecessary weight to the car.

The JDM concept seems to be only using aftermarket parts that make the car faster, and the americans use the JDM parts to stand out from the rest of the "ricers" and make their cars look good by using parts that fit how the manufacturer intended and are easily available from wreckers...

this is just how the whole JDM thing appears to me, I may be wrong, but thats what it looks like through my eyes.
When in doubt, down and out.

You can't judge JDM by that, JDM is like an aura....... an aura that you can't see, but you can feel.......

No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

The whole JDM thing is more of an american trend than what gets built in japan, the japanese cars dont usually look like the american JDM cars. It looks like xRyanx is looking at the J-tuned Jdm which is the whole american thing :)

Yea, i guess im asking about the american JDM look, but then i also see where people are coming from with the Japanese JDM look.
Two totally different looks, two totally different arguments.

Meadzy, where/who is this workshop you speak of?
