but i have been in cars and they have picked up phantom cops!
of course some may not be phantoms!

that said, they are leagues ahead of anything else around

yes, i have sometimes had funny signals, but i think thats just because they are so awesome they pick up cops miles away.

it was funny last weekend, we went to the unsanctioned motorsport, and we picked up a cop that was ages away, we couldnt even see the cop on a long as straight piece of road. my mates in the car were well impressed.
And as said, the queen st test is always a good one.

I gave up on radar detectors ages ago, Got sick of false alarms and figured out that if you stick to the speed limit in most areas - you dont have a problem

ALthough I'm assuming the newer ones once you turn off the x band are alot better?

Those uniden ones are rubbish, they warn you that theres a speed camera when its taking your picture haha, my dad has a built in bell detector, Has sensors in the grill and front/rear windows, is a lot better than the uniden

The only thing I hate about V1s is the annoying start up bells and whistles everytime you turn the key on, and that you have to reach across to mute it when it goes off, no auto mute is a bitch.

with only 20 more demerits left before Im catching buses to work my v1 is me savior though I might add!

It's pretty straight forward - all in the manual. I think you can download it from the website in pdf format.

Been so long since mine was stolen  I can't remember the process.

We got my old mans V1 caught in a loop between it and the older Uniden one I was using when we were road tripping. He said it was going ballistic.

But they are really good.. however I cant justify to myself spending that much on something when the easy answer is just not to speed.

The most logical thing that would be setting off your detector is the headsets that they use to talk to you when you're at the box.
