bnt piston rings 4agze which one?

Postby Psycho_Dad » Tue Sep 26, 2006 7:03 pm

ok so i walk into bnt

and im like, "gimme some piston rings and bearings"
and hes like "sure what car"
and im like "aw11 mr2, it has a 4agze"
and he says "no problem, would you like option a or option b for the piston rings?"
and im like "does option 'a' involve me going down on you or vice versa, and you give me a discount?"
then he gave me that stare that i have had soo many times from other parts store owners when i ask them that
moments pass.... still the stare... half confused, half curious...
and hes like..... "nooo... option a's measurements are 1.5,1.5,2.8mm(part #c1741), and optoins b's measurements are: 1.5,1.2,1.5,2.8mm(part#c1806)"
and then im like "well how should i know, im not a doctor"
and he goes "mechanic?"
im like "no"

so the conversation continued for many minutes, to the best of my memory, and we parted with me not knowing which piston rings im supposed to have

any ideas which ones i want?, i may have gotte a figure out(perhaps too many 1.5's in the 1st one

Peace

measure them. its to do with the year they were made, i think the earlier ones are the ones with the biggest lands, so smallest rings?
