Im looking at buying this car, anyone know anything about it?

- Condition of it?
- Has it been raped?
- Is that colour factory (not sure cause engine bay is red too)?
- Anyone seen in it person? Whats the paint like?

Any other comments will be appreciated!

Thats pretty much a given with any sort of performance car, be more concerned about checking out the mechanicals before buying it.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time

there is a difference between raping a car and really raping a car. You can rape a car and it still be in decent condition cause you look after it or you can rape a car and its in shit condition.

Just wana get some info about it if anyone knows anything about it, as its a 1.5hr drive from me and i dont wana drive all that way if its not worth it.

I think 'rape' needs some definition here.

Some people would say that revving it high through the gears is rape. Others would say bouncing off the redline and doing burnouts etc would be rape.

Others might say putting your dick in the exhaust pipe without the cars consent is rape.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Revving it high isn't rape, your pretty much just using its legs every now and then, holding it at high rpm for prolonged periods of time (burnouts) however, is.

Bouncing it off redline is just silly :/

Thats my definition of rape :) (that and the tail pipe thingy)

As mentioned above, this car is anything from 16 to 20 years old, and will have had numerous owners in that time, any of whom may or may not have "raped" it. Given than it is an older vehicle, and has (at some stage) had various parts of the engine removed and replaced (painted rocker covers etc), and the scoop hacked open, I would say its had a fairly hard life (just to look at it).

Of course, this is only my view given that a) I've owned an AE92 GTZ (great cars they are, too), and b) the pics are bad. The only way you can be 100% sure is to get it checked out. Even the current owner might not know everything about the vehicle (depending on his or her technical knowledge, and how much they're prepared to tell you about its condition given that they're trying to get money for it).

If the price is low enough, this could be the base for a very good car. Parts for AE92's are fairly cheap and easy to come by, and the early 4AGZE engines are bloody strong, and very reliable. The suspension would be another thing to look out for. If it hasn't been serviced or maintained, you could well be looking at replacing shocks, springs, arms, bushes, CVs etc, which will all add up. The gearboxes in GTZ's are bloody strong, but can get clunky with age, causing "graunching" between gears if its driven too hard by a streetlight F1 racer, meaning either a gearbox rebuild to replace the synchro's, or a new gearbox (which is harder to source).

Of course ... you'll only be able to tell any of this if you go for that 1.5 hour drive (you don't enjoy long distance driving??). Take a friend with you, and a couple of good CDs, and enjoy some scenery or something. You might end up with the deal of the year, and at the least, enjoy a short road trip. Personally, if the car was going for less than $2k, I'd go and see it regardless.

Good luck :)

this cars has been around, i know a couple of the previous owners.
last i heard it was goin for around the $2k mark good buy if it is.

it has had a rebuild about 2-2.5 years ago, what was done exactly im not sure

everyones defination of rape is different, it is a pathetic way of describing anything to do a with a car, wether it be the way its been treated, serviced, beaten,

if your that worried about it get it checked out, thats what clinics are for.
