FXGT Driveshaft Vibration dampener

Postby soopachargen » Sun Oct 01, 2006 2:38 pm

I've got some old FXGT driveshafts that im meant to be selling to a dude on here and the long one has what looks like a vibration dampener round the middle of it. The rubber in this has cracked and its moving freely up and down the shaft. Does this rubber effect the balance of the shaft or can it just be cut off??

Also, how do i pull the shaft out of the CV joint??
When in doubt, down and out.

just split it at the inner c/v

easier and less likely to damage the c/v when bashing it off.
genuine c/vs come with the shaft for that very reason
