how does one safely (without breaking anything) remove the centre console on a 1998 caldina, it looks easy enough but im too scared to snap something

just tips on where to pull or where clips/screws are located is what im after.

the unit come out towards you...
So you will have to somehow get a grip on it and pull towards yourself...
But be carefull, inside the dash where the unit mounts to the underside of the top of the dash, there are two tabs where the unit clips into... these have come off in my first attempts to get the unit out... so yeah
