hello all,

im pullin out the gze doin the clutch, gbox, belts and maybe bearings
and i know one of my mounts may aswell not even be there and the others are pretty tired.

i talked to the local toyota mech and he said the mount shop in henderson makes em cheaper than brand new items from toyota.

just wondering what all this nothalane talk is etc,
basically i havnt got a clue in this area and any advice on prices, brands, materials is appreciated.

Yea the Mount Shop in Paramount Drive. It will be cheaper getting them from there than Toyota. Nolathane is basically longer lasting and of much higher quality. You'll notice that in the price. It is resistant to oil, water, acid and sunlight etc.

no the mount shop is not always cheaper.

most TGP mounts are in the $60-110 range rrp

sweet as, does anyone know approx prices on aftermarket mounts?

is there any noticable difference? or is it just the lifespan?

I just had to get new mounts for my car.
set (pair?) of ae86 mounts I think was about $150-180. I can check the receipt tonight when I get home.

the ones on the sides should be all good..

its the front back ones that you really need to worry about...

i guess if you wanna make a good job of it you might as well do all 4 tho

yea the drivers side looks tired as. the back may aswell not even be there and the front looks knackered too. theyve all done 380000kms

Those mounts were from the mount shop. So if you could find a tgp price then you'd have a bit of comparison as to pricing and where to buy from...

worst case scenario for a 4afe ae101 (theres a few different types) is $375 inc gst TS price about $285

ae86 ones are $148 rrp inc gst.
TS price around $115
