215's on KE30

Postby jeremiahnz » Mon Oct 30, 2006 7:51 pm

Hey All,

I got given some mags a few weeks ago for my KE30. They rear wheels have 215's on them that don't fit under the rear arches. I am looking for as cheap a solution as possible to get these wheels on so am open to suggestions - I'd imagine someone here has come across this before.

I'd rather not go with flares but if it's the only way would consider it. Doing a swap for some other mags may end up the best way.....

Hmm, ok not sure on the offset as they were given to me. I think they came of a Mitsi Galant 1850 Colt.

Can you fit lesser width tyres without issue?

Im Pretty sure mine on my ke20 are 215's bro. Fit like a glove. There pretty snug in there. But i have flares. Doesnt look like it makes too much difference though.

how wide is the wheel?

you can fit any tire on within reason, i have 185's on a 8.5inch wheel for instance

but yeah i'm sure you could throw some 195's on there comftably

or get a big pole and roll your guards

Sweet, cheers for the suggestions.

I think I'll try rolling the guards and getting some thinner track tyres on there. Hopefully should see us right...

how bad is the rubbig?is it rubbing ehen the car is stationary or under load?i had a similar problen in my starlet with 185s and a 20 offset wheel with real soft suspension.the piece of pipe and two guys siting in the boot while the car was rolled back and forward fixed it.
