Anyone heard of this?

Adding Acetone to diesel powered cars to gain more power and mileage?

Wish there was a decent search engine, google only returns 404,000 pages when you search for "diesel acetone" at the first pages results all seem to be about people putting acetone in their diesel :(

Kerosine often used in the colder places to prevent the fuel from waxing up in the winter months, have heard of the acetone thing supposedly giving better mileage, though only on the internet

Acetone is also know as nail polish remover and is one of the three ingredients needed to detonate plastic explosives, interesting about its use in diesel

I'm not sure if thats actually unheard of from a Diesel Yaris though, I'll see what my mum gets from her petrol one.

It probably is good though and I'm just talking B.S
