Leaky Corona

Postby toyrota mota » Tue Nov 07, 2006 11:54 am

Just wonder if any of you other old toyota owners has had this problem before. After it rains my corona gets a very damp(depending on how hard the rain is) passenger foot well and only the foot well, it doesnt feel damp up towards the dash :? . Has this happen to anyone else, how do i fix it, whats it most likely to be and if not whats the best way to find where the leak is?
Cheers

Its a 79 TT132 wagon. Cowling? Is that the part at the bottom of the windscreen, that collects water?

my gf's old levin had a similar problem, drain holes in the boot had blocked up and spare wheel well was full with water. braking caused water to slosh forward under carpet and into the floorpan. took a while to find out where it was coming from lol

Don't think this is my problem as mines a wagon, no wheel well and no drain holes in boot(well does'nt have a boot like that).
So my best bet would be to take the cowling(the peice below windscreen) off and check for rust holes or blocked drain holes here????

yip, then check to see if it is leaking around the screen seal due to rust.
