Hiace Van 3Y Upgrade

Postby ThundaChild » Sun Nov 12, 2006 12:08 pm

Has anyone done or have any info relating to putting in a bigger motor into a 1984 Hi Ace Van.

I want the motor to stay Toyota if possible but need more horsepower.

I have increased the standing weight of the vehicle considerably and it is a little slow/dead.

The motor is currently a 1800cc 3Y reconditioned.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers Glen. :D

Buy 1x 1uzfe, then go do some line locks 8)

3Y is a big slut, short of a transplant id say youd be shit out of luck, and with being able to pick up a iuz for $1k they're a good option

good luck with transplant

I was told the Vee was too wide and it won`t fit between my rails...

My mates are keen to stick an eight in.

If it fits its an option.
