Thats saying when Toyoda was founded, not when toyota changed its name from toyoda.

we asians are continously superstitious with respect to numbers..
my parents car is personalised with "lucky numbers" (rather ghey i know.. but that was the in thing back then instead of deploring woman in licence plates ie the whole ho's thing

Interesting..I was working on the gf's ae101 and I'm sure I saw a Toyoda stamp on...something. Can't remember where it was now. Might have been a relay or maybe the coil?

Older (yearly '80) powersteering filler caps have "Toyoda" on them..

i've seen the toyota AA, and i've got a pic of the AB i'll put up. i think the AA is the one in the background, there's a couple of them there (the toyota museum in Japan). there are actually no originals left, these were recreated from pictures and drawings for toyota's 75th (???? sometime around then) anniversary.
