Apparently they are bringing out a TRD Aurion with 235kw, but it will be FWD…

I used to have a Toyota I.S.T, it was 4wd, imagine dropping a 3S-GTE in one of these! :D

I hope they get someone new to design it. I didn't think they could actually make something that looks worse than a 205, sadly I was proven wrong.

It's nice to dream

We'll just have to wait another 15-20 years to when we're old and rich enough to actually buy the cars that we want now, then, and put the demand back into the market!

dont worry there are some performance models coming.

weather its a celica, supra or under another name is not yet confirmed....

there is a a IS500 with a 5ltr V8 due out next year, that will be cool :D

its also likely that there will be a hybrid version of any new sportscar.

i dont like the heavy feeling of nissans

im jumping ship and going with mazdas from now on(the rx7/8 and mx5). im tired of toyota not even trying to meet the expectations of my wet dreams

its like every car these days is made for a typical chinese guy, then again their is a billion more of them(even in nz lol)

err, the NZ TSport is nothing more than a badge and suspension package... you have to leave NZ to get a Corolla with the 2zz for the moment.

as far as imports with the 2zz go though, RunX, Allex, Will VS, and the newly arrived Corolla RS180

Id be pretty happy with a Toyota badged Scion tC, maybe 4WD turbo though as it uses same chassis as avensis and caldina.

Im F'n stoked about the new Toyota-Subaru Coupe though, and in a passing mention i think the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe looks great as well.

Speaking of which, I drove a transversely mounted 3L turbo IL6 a few months ago. Went like hell

Somehow I think that ball park figure would fall shy of a decent performance car as brand new. Then again my opinion of a performance car would be a tad more generous than some of the existing Toyota's which have been released in the past.
