vvt

Postby matt9ball » Sat Nov 11, 2006 5:53 pm

ok so i have searched but dont really get it.
im positive vvt is not working on my car have put 12 v to solenoid and the engine does not change.there is also no 12v power going to solenoid at idle or reving!

the vvt pulley has jus been replaced for a second hand 1 as other 1 was making a huge clicking sound as shown on revheads test FAQ.

so i dont have power to solenoid and when 12v put on it no change at all!?

hooked up vvt light and it constantly stays on also.

this is a s/t conversion and never seen it running before but i was sure it had 12v running to solenoid when conversion was being done.

please help!!!
thanks guys

how are you putting 12v to it? you are putting 12v to one side of the solinoid, and putting the other side to the negitive of the battery arn't you?

taking plug off solenoid and running 1 wire from battery postive to 1 of the connection points on solenoid and running another wire from negative on battery to other connecton point on solenoid.

yeh my vvt isnt working either, connected a couple of wire from the battery to the solinoid and could hear the vvt click on, but dosent work when im driving. I have no idea how to fix it or whats wrong with it, there is power from the clip that attaches to the solinoid.... So that leaves me thinking that the problem is between the ecu and the solinoid, any1 got any ideas?????
