its not a blacktop by the sounds of it, i think its a nana-spec 4afe version which will be hard enough to sell with all these 'cool' mods already

different cylinder head for a start, think that rules out not needing a cert

Certainly does, you cant put that engine in without a cert. It will cost you a lot fo time and mucking around for next to zero gain, probably even a loss. If its got a "fully sik" kit on then someone will probably buy it for that regardless of engine.

Can i just say that i have seen far too many Levins with body kits on trademe.... they are not a sought after item... if someone has the money to pay for an expensive levin they are going to buy a 4agze or similiar...

throwing a now standard engine into your car is really limiting the size of your buying demographic - to people like us on toyspeed. And people like us will not buy a slightly slower version of an ae111 bz-r for the money you are looking for.

You demographic is basically people who want a showy car while not being terribly worried about the go... fo that reason a 4afe is better... if they want performance they are NOT going to buy a ae111 with a silvertop in it.
