IS250. Opinions?

Likewise, I've had one on numerous occasions. They are a great car. Very, very impressive.
So good that we have considered one as a replacement for the wife's BMW.
Good power, good handling. A little noisy for a luxury car with the low profile tyres but it depends on what you like.

Aren't they going to call that one the IS-F?

A 5 litre IS would be a beast, but I wonder how much heavier the engine will be?
And chances are, it won't come in manual

I have taken that for a drive.

very very nice car, sturdy. but to be honest, it doesnt quite match a mercedes, though people say its comparable, might be... but not better.

i find that the c180 kompressor is superior in handling and feeling.

the is250 feels very responsive but the graking i found to be lacking and also it didnt feel fun to drive, while the c180 was fun to drive but very safe. it was raining and i tried to waste the merc but couldnt put it out untill i hit a round about at 90 and yanked the wheel... and that was scary.... but still safe:D safe enough anyways

jsut incase your wondering, i test drive cars for a hobby. i have driven a s*it load of cars. once they let me take a brand new 120k merc for half a day
and just 2 weeks ago, pure luck, i took my friends merc for a service cos she was over seas, and they gave me a 2006 c180 thats done only 1400 ks on the clock:D

and numerous other cars from jappies to euros... once i nearly got a ride in a 911 turbo 2004 but i found out my excess was 10% of teh cars value... so that made it bout 30k... so i didnt:D

you guys should try it - but you gotta do groundwork and call in first , sound legit, have a story, etc..... and im asian so that helps, i jsut say "mummy daddy gots lotsa moneys in china.... china!!!"

I don't know about C180 kompressor but I've driven C200 kompressor and that crappy looking liftback thing with kompressor aswell, and they are generally shit: interior creacking (very low kms on both), steering is too heavy, steering wheel makes funny noises, you can hear whole body flex on uneven road or while cornering, steering feels disconnected from wheels, mirrors are crap (can't see shit in them), gaps in the panels are enourmous, and the most ridicilous thing is they are not very comfortable to drive in!.. Actually that applies to every Mercedes I've driven (E and C class)... I have not driven an IS250 but I would assume it will be very similar to verrossa/mark2 in feeling and comfort, which are very high quality cars.
