looks like the 1g version weighed about 1420kg and the 7m version weighed about 1530kg.

Couple of years back I got offered one for $2k. 7MGTE...
Was a very nice car, kinda wanted to buy it, but I could only afford about $2 at the time... :(

yes i did think the x20 soarer would suffer from the obesity of the mk3 supra.
z10s would be the way to go...

ill head out to the dump sometime this week and let you know what it weighs (MZ20), keeping in mind mine has no carpet or roof lining, and no internal sound deadening. you shouldn't get one tho...they're crap.... :twisted:

i've got a mz11 that im putting a 7mgte into very soon (its in peices in my garage) and apperantly they weigh 1300kg with the 5m havnt actually weighed it tho.

true, yeah i thought the z10 would be similar weight to my ma61
stock they are about 1280kgs, mine is 1200kgs, but will weigh closer to 1300 with the rebuilt motor and bits.
aiming for 500hp with this set up..

500 is a nice round number 8)
Does anyone know if the z20's suffer from the same rust problems as the z10's? all that ive seen (only a few) but they all seem to be very rusty in the boot and under the back window, the z20's seem to be a very similar shape round there so i was just wondering.

z20s are less prone to rusting than the z10s
just like the MA61s are more likely to rust than the ma70

i think toyota started to get things right after the mid 80s
