Some very odd Clutch issues

Postby ke25sr » Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:50 pm

I got a KE25 ive put a 2TGEU Engine in it from a TE71 Trueno.

Ive used the Engine, T50 box, Rear Diff, Clutch, clutch fork, Master Cylinder,Slave cylinder All from the TE71.

When in the TE71 It all worked well no problems at all.
Now to the point.

All this gear is an my coupe but now when i push the pedel down. the clutch fork is hitting the Hole in the Bell Housing that it comes out of. It still changes fine Just really $&#$% me off.

Ive put a new Slave Cylinder, Master Cylinder, Clutch kit, Clutch fork, But no change.

Im running out of ideas.

Any help would be great. Thanks all

Is the little ball pivot bit in the bellhousing the right one? How far extended is the slave cylinder?

Cut a bigger hole in the bellhousing :)

Im not to keen on cutting up the bell housing.

The slave cylinder sits half out while the clutch is out. ( part of problem)

Ive looked at the pivot and compared t to others and the all seem the same.

I have noticed a different thrust bearing carrier on a freinds car and im keen to try that but i still think its not the problem.

at worse im going to put on anuther bell housing and see if that makes a diffeence.

As for the pedel box. thats were i 1st laid blame but after a lot of thought i dont believe thats the problem. I could still be wrong tho

can you not adjust your fulcrum on the fork? I though the point which it pivots about could be adjusted in and out.
