aircon

Postby bluemaumau » Mon Apr 03, 2006 11:19 pm

ok another question for the TS populace.

ive got the 4agze out now. which has aircon
the gzes going into the wagon which dosent have aircon,
i was going to remove it anyway

obviously i disconnected it from the pump when i removed the engine,

so the question is should i remove the pump, and if i do, do i need to get a custom belt made up to turn the p/s and alt (i think those are the ones on the same belt  )

can t remember

ae92 gze

cheers :?

2 options:

1) remove pump and get an appropriate belt to fit (benefit - reduces a few kgs)

2) leave pump, but retain standard belt

depends how much you can be fuxed or not....

i will have to find a new belt when i take my blacktop one off

you'll also need to find a way to tension that belt, as im pretty sure the main tensioner is useless once you remove the aircon pulley

You should be able to adjust the belt tension with the alternator adjustment.

It already is a free spinning wheel, why bother gutting it.
