i beleive we are talking different bearing sizes in the same vein of different grade bearings as you find with engine bearings.
which doesnt happen in toyota gear boxes.

your talking oversize .
you do not get oversize roller/ball bearings at all

im talking differnt number or alocation

As was said...not roller bearings....


but the ones that the diff rests against...eg the shims/race that you hammer into the casings...


But I stripped it down, check everything, nothing..well i will have one more try, and will use the shims from the other c50 box that I took the diff from see if that helps...

the ones that the dif sits against are taper roller bearings........
they have shims behind them
and you DO NOT hammer them into the casing and if you have that is probably your problem

not the actually roller bearings on the diff...I mean the shim that the roller bearings on the diff go against...
If worst comes to worst, I take it in to a transmission place...

the shim is behind the seat of the taper insert..this is part of the bearing

Well I stripped it down, didnt work so stripped it down again ( fourth time)
and changed the races and shims from the C50 box I took it from in to the C52 box.

And now its fine!

Im so happy right now, and the fact I have three weeks solid to work on my car!
