As above...for cartridge gas shocks do they need oil in the casing ( that you put them in)?
Just wondering if my very very firm shocks at the back are because they are just hard shocks(gymkhana kybs), or if I put it together wrong?
As in you cant push down the back...

you should have primed the shocks in the casing before you installed them in the car....

get them out of the pack and get them in the casing etc then sit the top hat on them and fully compress them then decompress, repeat 4-5 times. then install springs and tophats and dont let shocks sit horizontal or youl have to prime them again
rory if you had primed them you would have verified they were working when you installed them in the case if they didnt move at all youve fuxed them

You can put some oil inside the strut tubes if you want, if you are racing the car the inserts can get very hot. Leaving some oil inside the tube aids in heat transfer to the body of the strut and therfore better cooling.
If it doesn't fit, force it.
If it breaks it needed replacing anyway!
