"Chairman and Managing Director of Toyota New Zealand, Mr Bob Field with the original Toyota model, the Corona RT40, and the latest new model released, the Toyota Aurion."

Dam... show room condition :) I've only ever seen 1 RT40 Corona driving around and that was full of rust and pretty shabby

Yeah I'd say so, visiting the toyota museum would be wicked, apparantly they have cars like the 67' 2000GT used in the James Bond movie. Wasn't a production car but I think it was used as a pace car or something ?

been to the Toyota museum in Nagoya, they do have an early 2000GT, not the one used in the James bond movie though although that is there and is one of 2 toyota made convertible's. very sexy car!!!

didn't see any early corona's there beside mk11's either, no RT 40's at all from memory although they might have them stored away.

cheers

2000GT was a production car, the 2 convertible's used in the James Bond film were the only 2 made though as opposed to the reasonable amounts of hardtops

cheers

Am currently repainting mine at the moment in the factory red like that one, but looking at that chrome i think im going to have to send all my chrome away to be done 8O

As I recall that Corona is one of, if not the first Toyota that was assembled in NZ. Hence it's significance to Toyota NZ.
