and that is just a slightly updated version of the E6K which has all the same functions. which is now 6 years old, when did the G3 come out?
And the resolution of your map isnt user definable? Stuck at 500rpm increments, and costs AU1395, and is not definable untill the E8 at AU1795. Yet the less expensive G3 can be.
Has Haltech got the new WRX active valve control system configurable yet?
Point is, different ECU manufacturers have different advancements at different points in their life. Not all can be the best in every area, resources dont allow it. And to compare apples with apples with what you are getting, the price should be the same for both products. Also, some have features others dont even when the product is cheaper... its just how the industry is.
Most of the result from the ECU comes from the tuner IMO.
