Hey all, I've been through some of this on another thread somewhere but I've decided to do a bit more and see how it all goes...
My car has been having overheating issues, especially when under load (as in I had to stop about 6 times going uphill on the rimutakas, not once when going down though) or when I start driving after the car has been idling.
I've flushed the radiator and the block, replaced the thermostat and used a decent coolant/antifreeze and the problem still persists.
I've already got a new waterpump, cambelt, cambelt tensioner, and some bluetop cams.
Some people have suggested that the problem might be a leaking headgasket, I haven't seen any of the tell tale signs of a blown headgasket, but I figure this may be because it's only leaking. It's not using any coolant though.
Would it be worth putting in a new headgasket anyway?
The engine is fairly high kms.
Thanks
