Why does every one mock currens?

Postby bbq1988 » Thu Feb 01, 2007 11:44 am

Hey, its not a bloody honda so why does everyone mock this breed of toyota?
Or is it just a personal preferance?

oh, that reminds me of what some one said yesterday..

sitting out side, this p.o.s rotary drove past, and one guy said "thats the fastest car in town"... it was amusing when he argued, because i know for a fact that my mates GTIR has beaten it, but he stood no chance against a RZ supra thats sitting around town

1. Because they are the poor man's version of a Celica.
2. They are F_ucking ugly.
3. Celicas are also F_ucking ugly.

I like mine, they look alot better with a kit, no spoiler, medium tints and some nice wheels. Without all that theyre a very average looking car. I bought mine cos of the price and how easy it was to insure, not to mention i do still think theyre not BAD looking. What about a cavalier? Those are ugly and shit

I started back when I had a Honda and a guy with nicely groomed hair pulled up next to me and started revving it at though he was in something fast. Currens are surely ok cars, but they aren't fast.... and there is nothing better to mock than someone who thinks they are the bees knees because their 2 door Corona looks vaguely sporty.

Damn right they're not a Honda, most Hondas that look like they should go ok DO.

my sister bought one. nuff said

they are boring looking, not particularly exciting to drive and not particulary fast. they are just an unmentionable car that people who know SFA bout cars often buy coz its a cheap reliable toyota, it kinda looks almost sporty if you squint really hard only coz its got 2 doors, and it isnt too thirsty and is cheap to insure.
theyd make a great car for following someone if you didnt want to be seen, noone would notice you

even celicas only provoke mild interest, because mr toyota in a drunken haze built a 4wd turbo rally homologation version.

is that one in your avatar? i can mistake that photo for a s14 non-facelift. maybe i'm just blind but only in the photo, in real life they look nothing like them

and if that is an s14 then that's good  (just assuming it's a curren since you own one)
